What We Do
ADVERTISING WEEK
Stillwell produces each and every aspect of Advertising Week and has done so since its inception in 2004 going all the way back to our very first Opening Gala at Gracie Mansion hosted by Mayor Michael Bloomberg and our founding Chairman, the late, great Ken Kaess. In the years that followed, the Stillwell leadership team led the growth of Advertising Week in New York City expanding from our first home, the Museum of Television and Radio into Times Square (2008-2017) and ultimately to our all-under-one-roof Lincoln Square campus. Global expansion began in 2013 with AWEurope in London; continued in 2016 with AWAsia in Tokyo and then Mexico City (AWLATAM) and Sydney (AWAPAC) in 2018, and Johannesburg (AWAfrica) follows in 2020. Stillwell’s signature blend of compelling daytime thought leadership and unique evening experiences has been deployed across the globe, all conceived by and executed in-house by the Stillwell team. Above and beyond curating more than 1,000 distinct keynotes, conversations, debates, workshops and seminars globally, Advertising Week has also evolved as a platform to shine a spotlight on issues which transcend our industry... From our Great Minds Think Unalike conversation series with such luminaries as Emma Stone on mental health; to our own Future is Female Awards recognizing rising industry stars; to leveraging our stages to talk about such broader challenges as the opioid crisis, gun safety, gender equity, work/life balance and a litany of others.
NATHAN'S 4TH OF JULY HOT DOG EATING CONTEST
The Stillwell team has produced Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest, located on the corner of Stillwell Avenue, since 2005. The iconic New York eatery celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2016.
